The CFO has eight direct reports and leads an organization of nearly 200. A Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or similar business related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred along with municipal government experience. Salary is open into the $200,000's depending on experience.

Iowa Energy Center
Director
The Iowa Energy Center (IEC) was established in 1990 to support research, demonstration, and education aimed at decreasing the State of Iowa's dependence on fossil fuels. Since that time, the IEC developed nationally recognized research facilities and programs in building controls and biomass energy conversion, as well as sponsored a substantial number of research, demonstration, and education projects. As an example, IEC sponsored a wind mapping project which led to Iowa's advancement to one of the top wind energy development states in the nation. The State of Iowa recently committed to a much more aggressive path toward energy efficiency and renewable energy use and often looks to the IEC for leadership.
The IEC seeks a dynamic leader to manage a strategic planning process that will identify and implement a vision for the future. IEC's current goals include increasing the energy efficiency practices within the state at every level; conducting and sponsoring research to promote energy efficiency, alternative energy systems, and renewables; supporting the state's efforts to reduce dependence on non-renewable fuels; supporting related education and demonstration programs; and advancing research on, and identification of, technology that will further IEC's goals.
Ideal candidates will offer a proven track record leading and coordinating diverse groups in an energy-related institution or associated field. He or she should offer high ethics, a strong technical background in relevant technologies, exemplary people and communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Experience must demonstrate significant responsibilities and leadership for developing and applying technologies, policies and/or service delivery programs related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The Director supervises eight and reports to a Vice President from Iowa State University while working closely with an Advisory Council comprised of various industry, community, and academic representatives.

Senior Principal Engineer - Conservation
Tacoma Power created two new Senior Principal Engineer positions in the Energy Conservation Management Organization. These individuals will report to the Energy Conservation Manager and each will lead a four-person team of professional and technical staff in the development and delivery of conservation programs. These team leaders are responsible for securing energy efficiency with Tacoma Powers residential, commercial and industrial customers by providing primary engineering leadership and supervision of engineering and technical activities. One Senior Principal Engineer will focus on residential programs, while the other will develop and deliver commercial and industrial programs. These positions require an undergraduate, or higher, degree in an engineering discipline, as well as, at least five years of experience in developing and implementing conservation programs. Project management credentials and/or an advanced degree is a plus. In addition, a professional engineering (PE) license would be an added benefit. Compensation will be dependent on experience and abilities and will include a competitive fringe benefit package. The current established range for this position is $87,000 to $106,500.

Director of Finance
Seattle City Light is seeking a Finance Director who will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of budget preparation and reporting, financial planning, rates, and debt management. This position is responsible to oversee the development of $847 million O&M budget and $230 million CIP budget, issuance of debt financing of $1 to $1.5 billion, and development of financial policies which ultimately determine rate and debt levels for Seattle City Light. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will manage a staff of 20. The candidate will possess a bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a closely related field is required. Qualified individuals will have substantial management and leadership experience in finance, budget, and rates gained through ten or more years progressively responsible assignments; at least seven of which were as a manager or supervisor in a large, complex multicultural and diverse organization. Compensation will be dependent on experience and abilities and will include a competitive fringe benefit package.
